Carmine G. Paterra


Practice Areas: Carmine G. Paterra has practiced medical malpractice litigation for over 20 years. His practice involves litigating complex medical malpractice and premises liability defense claims including birth trauma. Carmine's practice also includes construction, basic corporate and landlord-tenant claims involving contractual disputes, leases, liens, and licensing issues.

Bar Admissions: 1995, State Bar of Michigan; 2005, DRI; 2000, Italian-American Bar Association of Michigan.

Education: Wayne State University Law School (1994); Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice, University of South Australia School of Law (1996)

Biography: Mr. Paterra graduated from Wayne State University Law School in 1994. While at Wayne State University Law School, he sat on the Law School Student Board of Governors (1993-1994) and was awarded semi-finalist for best brief writer, Moot Court, in the Chase National Environmental Law Competition (1994). One year prior, Mr. Paterra was awarded the Best Brief writer, Moot Court, in the Arthur Neef Competition.

Mr. Paterra is also an active member of the Italian-American Club of Livonia (1993-Present) and coaches boys soccer at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish (2009-Present).
